Amidst the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Kenya, FOCUS Dream Center was officially registered as a nonprofit organization. Our mission was clear—to serve orphans, vulnerable children, and families devastated by the crisis. Programs like the In-School Feeding Program, PEPEA Mentorship, and the Chapati Forum were launched to address immediate needs and provide long-term spiritual, emotional, and material support.

• 2008: The second Hosanna Shalom Liberty Church was established in Mugutha under Pastor Paul Irungu.

• 2009: The Thika Church was established under Pastor Samuel Kuria, further extending our spiritual outreach.

• 2014: A new branch was launched in Kibichoi, marking rapid spiritual expansion and the growing impact of the church network.

The Dream Center in Ruiru, Kenya, was inaugurated, becoming the operational hub for FOCUS Dream Center’s outreach programs.

Alongside its establishment, the Borehole Water Project was launched to address the urgent need for clean water in the surrounding communities, strengthening health and sanitation initiatives.

In 2012, a significant partnership with Liberty Churches was forged. This collaboration helped secure sponsorship for infrastructure and spiritual development. It laid the foundation for the continued growth of FOCUS Dream Center, ensuring that more communities could access resources and hope. That same year, a borehole well was drilled to a depth of 170 meters (557 feet), providing clean water to the Dream Center and surrounding areas.

• 2016: After several site visits and assessments, FOCUS Dream Center completed its Borehole Water Well Project with the installation of a three-phase power system, water pumps, towers, tanks, and kiosks.

• 2017: The water distribution system was fully operational, providing essential water to both the center and nearby communities.

In 2017, Seven Hills Global Outreach partnered with FOCUS Dream Center, contributing to education and community development. This partnership enhanced our capacity to empower individuals and communities through comprehensive educational and vocational programs, reinforcing the shared mission of fostering independence and well-being.

In 2017, FOCUS Dream Center partnered with Bethel Kibera Outreach School, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children in Kibera, Africa’s largest slum. Bethel Kibera provides critical early education (K-3), spiritual guidance, and holistic support to some of the most vulnerable children in the region. This collaboration is made possible through partnerships with Seven Hills Global Outreach and SABA International, with a shared mission to empower the youth through education.

Children’s Garden-Home and School, a community-based nonprofit serving orphans, abandoned children, and neglected street youth across the greater Nairobi region, joined the FOCUS Dream Center family in 2018. The organization provides vocational training, safe shelter, nourishing meals, and spiritual and emotional counseling to vulnerable youth. With the support of Seven Hills Global Outreach and SABA International, this partnership has allowed us to expand our reach in delivering essential education and social services to those most in need, making a lasting impact on the lives of Nairobi’s most vulnerable children.

In 2019, the partnership with SABA International expanded FOCUS Dream Center’s international reach. This partnership played a crucial role in overseeing the growing network of schools, including Bethel Kibera and Children’s Garden, while also creating new opportunities for collaboration in education and community development.

The construction of the FOCUS Dream Primary School marked a major milestone in 2020. Built to serve students from K–8, the school provides children in underserved communities with a solid foundation for the future, ensuring access to quality education and support services.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, FOCUS Dream Center launched a community food rationing and provision program to ensure that vulnerable families had access to essential nutrition during the crisis.

Additionally, in 2022, the FOCUS Dream Vocational Technical Training College opened its doors, offering vocational skills training for the youth and older individuals seeking higher education, providing them with market-ready and market-relevant skills for a brighter future.

In 2021, FOCUS Dream Center partnered with Angel of God-Mission International to expand support for people with disabilities. This collaboration allowed both organizations to amplify their missions of promoting dignity, inclusion, and hope for marginalized individuals.

Our collaboration with Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School (Monty Tech) in 2022 provided invaluable resources for students at the Vocational Technical Training College. Through this partnership, students gained access to dual certification programs in Health Services Support, equipping them with both practical skills and the character-building tools needed to excel.

The Vocational Technical Training College opened in 2022, offering market-relevant skills training in sectors such as health services and technical trades. The first cohort of 36 graduates completed their training in 2023, with enrollment growing significantly as more students recognized the life-changing opportunities available through FOCUS Dream Center.

Set to break ground in 2025, the FOCUS Dream High School will complete the education pipeline, providing students with seamless transitions from primary to secondary education. The school will focus on empowering students to become leaders in their communities, equipped with the knowledge and skills to drive change.

Looking ahead to 2030, FOCUS Dream Center plans to open the FOCUS Mission Medical Center, a modern healthcare facility that will offer comprehensive, patient-centered care. This state-of-the-art medical center represents the next phase in our commitment to transforming healthcare for underserved populations in Kenya.
