At the core of our mission is a commitment to providing sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water through solutions like borehole drilling and water wells. In 2012, our journey began with the drilling of a deep borehole at the Dream Center Kenya site in Ruiru. Initially focused on supporting orphaned and vulnerable children, this project will soon extend its impact to the broader community. Thanks to the invaluable support from Liberty Churches, local officials, and generous donors, this vision became a reality.
Clean water is more than a necessity; it’s a catalyst for better health, education, and economic growth. Strategically placed, this borehole would reduce the time families spent fetching water, allowing them to focus on education and income-generating activities. By 2018, with the addition of pumps, towers, and water kiosks, reliable access to water would become a reality for the community, with the aim of significantly reducing waterborne diseases like cholera and dysentery.
These efforts underscore our broader goal: to build bridges of hope and empower families to thrive. By ensuring clean, safe drinking water, FOCUS Dream Center works to help children attend school regularly, supports healthier families, and fosters vibrant, thriving communities.
